2026 Indiana University Depth Chart

1️⃣ Depth Chart Reasoning: Indiana’s offense will once again hinge on a transfer quarterback. Josh Hoover steps in as QB1, bringing 31 games of starting experience from TCU and a gunslinger reputation. Hoover’s downfield aggressiveness and mobility make him the clear fantasy choice under new coach Curt Cignetti, who has produced top-5 passing attacks two years running. Behind him, veteran Grant Wilson (a seventh-year senior) provides insurance – he has starting experience from Old Dominion and returns to stabilize the QB room. Redshirt freshman Jacob Bell offers upside at QB3 after setting high school records, but Hoover’s job security is strong given Indiana’s title ambitions. At running back, Indiana retools with a likely committee. Boston College transfer Turbo Richard profiles as RB1 after leading his former team with 749 rushing yards, 11 total TDs in 2025. Richard’s compact build (5’8″/207) and receiving skills (30 catches last year) give him three-down utility, but he’ll share work. Sophomore Khobie Martin earns RB2 – he flashed major red-zone upside with 6 TD on just 78 carries as a true freshman and averaged 6.5 yards a pop. Martin’s nose for the end zone keeps pressure on Richard, even if Richard’s experience initially slots him higher. Don’t sleep on Lee Beebe Jr. as RB3; the UAB transfer had an 885-yard season in 2024 and was in Indiana’s rotation early 2025 (7.7 YPC) before a knee injury. Beebe is a bruiser with pass-catching ability and could carve out short-yardage or change-of-pace touches. Overall, talent and proven production land Richard and Martin atop the depth chart, but volume may be split – a classic talent vs. opportunity dilemma for fantasy managers.

Quinn Henicle steps into the starting role with Colton Joseph’s departure to Wisconsin, where Joseph was the Sun Belt Offensive Player of the Year after posting 2,624 passing yards, 21 TDs, 1,007 rushing yards, and 13 scores. Henicle’s own ceiling is well-documented — he produced a 92-yard TD run (the longest QB run in FBS in 2025) against Arkansas State and racked up 206 rushing yards and two passing TDs in that lone start. For dynasty managers, Henicle is a compelling dual-threat dart throw: his rushing floor alone offers fantasy value, and ODU’s system under OC Kevin Decker generated the 15th-ranked offense in the country last season. Washington State transfer Jaxon Potter slots in as a capable backup at 6-5, with Ryan Huff holding the QB3 role.
