Georgia State enters 2026 in rebuild mode after a brutal 1-11 season in 2025, and the quarterback position is the biggest question mark. TJ Finley – the journeyman who started six games while splitting time with Cameron Brown – has moved on to Incarnate Word for his seventh college program. That leaves Christian Veilleux and Cameron Brown as the likely candidates to lead the offense under head coach Dell McGee, who carries a 4-20 record in two seasons. Veilleux showed limited flash (513 yards, three touchdowns, three interceptions), while Brown was similarly inconsistent. Neither profiles as a fantasy-relevant option in standard formats.
The running back room features Jaylen Poe, a transfer from Northern Illinois, and Keith Adams Jr., though neither produced eye-popping numbers at their previous stops. Poe’s best season at NIU was 190 yards and three touchdowns, which doesn’t inspire confidence as a lead back. The Panthers’ ground game will need a breakout performer from either the transfer portal additions or a returning player to generate any fantasy interest. The overall offensive line and scheme will need to improve dramatically from the 2025 disaster.
Georgia State did make some promising recruiting moves, including landing 4-star defensive lineman Kelze Howard from Oregon State and assembling the 71st-ranked transfer class. However, the program’s immediate fantasy relevance is essentially nonexistent – this is a team focused on foundational rebuilding rather than offensive fireworks. Dynasty managers should avoid this roster entirely until Georgia State demonstrates offensive competence under McGee or a coaching change brings new direction.
