Last weekend we saw some excellent college fantasy football performances out of Tagovailoa and Hubbard as projected, but also a complete dud by Etienne surprisingly. We’re building statistical significance heading into week 4, looking for consistency – a major key to winning in fantasy.
We’ve got some really intriguing matchups to discuss this week. Let’s get to it!

Week 4 Key Matchups
Each week we’ll take a look at a few matchups we’re excited to watch. We’ll look at individual player matchups, depth chart struggles, or simply break down games that have a huge fantasy implications. This section will evolve throughout the season, so please let us know if you have any feedback.
Houston at Tulane
As our rankings team was going through the points spreads as they’re released on Sunday/Monday, we were most-surprised by Tulane being favored by 5 over Houston. Additionally, the Over/Under 57 points seemed low for a game that involved Dana Holgerson and co.
D’Eriq King was basically the consensus #1 pick by all rankings experts and we expect his fantasy PPG to increase. There’s no denying the fact that his 30 PPG is an underachievement thus far, especially considering that he lead the country in fantasy PPG in 2018.
Tulane has some fantasy interests as well at quarterback in Justin McMillan. The 6’3 Senior transfer from LSU has a poor completion percentage but has already scored 3 TD on the ground in 2019. He’s averaging just over 20 PPG and is a potentially sneaky-good start college DFS lineups.
Oklahoma State at Texas
With an Over/Under of 73, it’s difficult to bench any fantasy players that are involved in this game except the defenses. Classic Big 12. Texas is favored to win by 6 in a shootout against a school in Oklahoma State that has been one of the most consistent fantasy-producing schools in the country under Mike Gundy. Gundy is 52 years old.

The most surprising and disappointing has been Keontay Ingram. We surmised he’d get a large workload given Texas’ lack of depth at RB paired with their protection of Ehlinger as they look to make a run at the playoff birth. Ingram figured to make a solid jump in fantasy production but that simply hasn’t happened yet. Maybe he’ll break out against Oklahoma State.
