The starting quarterback for Georgia, Jake Fromm, has suffered a severe hand injury. News has leaked out that the quarterback has broken his non-throwing hand. The big question for fantasy owners is how long will this affect his fantasy status. Will the same thing happen to him that happened to Eason? Can Justin Fields use this time to prove his worth?
CFB will pay close attention to the events that will unfold in the future months leading up to fall practice to see how this will affect both Fromm and Fields rankings as we lead up to fantasy drafts.
With Fromm suffering this injury this close to the start of fall camp, it could significantly hinder the passing attack for Georgia. If Georgia does have to rely on true freshman Justin Fields under center then the Bulldogs could turn to their stable of running backs to help the freshman get comfortable. With that thinking, D’Andre Swift could see a boost in all draft leagues as well as the young freshman Zamir White and James Cook.
